Preventing Extinctions: Architecting the Accretocene is an exhibit on habitat restoration and rewilding that has been a decade in the making. This exhibit celebrates the successes that Island Conservation has had across the world in saving species from extinction on remote islands.

The Beaty’s Nocturnal series invites you to learn how sixty-five islands have been saved, how more can—and will—be saved, and how you can be involved.

Penny Becker – VP Conservation: The importance of action in rewilding islands – successes of Island Conservation
Chad Hanson – VP Conservation: Exploiting new technologies and strategies for rapid island restoration
Andrew S. Wright: The wow of Palmyra and thoughts of an Accretocene

Program Schedule
5:00 pm: Doors open with admission by donation
6:30 pm – 7:30 pm: Welcome and Introduction to Preventing Extinctions: an exhibit featuring the work of Island Conservation. Presentations and Q&A session.
7:30 pm: Screening of 20-minute movie of restoration work in New Zealand
8:30 pm: Museum closed
