Evaluating Inequities in Refugee & Im/migrant Health Service Access
April 17 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
About the Talk
This talk will summarize key findings and recommendations from the IRIS project, which is completing 5 years of mixed-methods data collection and analysis understand the health experiences of immigrants and migrants (im/migrants) in British Columbia. IRIS combines interviews with im/migrant community members and quantitative data from health and immigration administration to focus on two research areas: sexual and reproductive health services, and COVID-related testing and primary care. We are generating recommendations for policies, programs, and practices that improve health, well-being and access to health services in BC for people who are im/migrants.
