Turning Failure into Opportunities, and Learning to Trust the Process
Rotimi Ojo’s journey in Canada started as an undergraduate in the Faculty of Arts Program in 2016. Through the pursuit of an enriching undergraduate experience in terrain unfamiliar to him, he curiously applied his skillset and personality towards a diversity of ventures and has had a budding career since then.
From volunteer opportunities at student conferences and other campus events, to three top-tier internships in the professional sports, banking, and tech industry, Rotimi tells a story of navigating the natural turbulence of personal and career development to emerge grounded in the pursuit of his dreams.
Now, Rotimi shares his story with the goal of supporting students and early career professionals lean into their strengths, and embrace the lows just as much as the highs in order to find fulfilment on a personal journey which is daunting to many. He also offers career and life coaching to early professionals, aside to his career in Talent Acquisition with IBM.
Having grown up in Nigeria, and been blessed with unique opportunities to explore several parts of the world, Rotimi’s storytelling is sure to inspire you to lean in for the ride, and have fun doing so.
