August 9, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

This workshop is an orientation intended for beginners who have little to no experience with Python and using Python for data analysis. The basic structures of the Python programming language will be reviewed before looking at its use for data analysis.

The workshop is one hour, followed by an optional 30 minute practice period to reinforce what you learned or consult with the instructor.

Prior to the workshop:

Cloud-based platforms will be used, so you do not need to have Python installed. Please make sure you have a Google Colaboratory account: https://colab.research.google.com/

If you do not have an account, you first must create a Google Drive account to access Google Colaboratory.

If you have any questions, concerns, or accessibility needs please email research.commons@ubc.ca
