Did you know that students are eligible for various tax credits but many often go unclaimed? The UBC Tax Assistance Clinic for Students (TACS) is partnering with Enrolment Services to host an interactive session teaching you the basics of how to file your taxes. Please feel free to come prepared with your tax documents so that you can follow along the process and practice filing on your own.
If you plan to follow along and file your taxes, please have your tax documents (e.g. T4, T4A, T2202, T5, Donation Slips, etc.) available, along with your social insurance number (SIN) or individual tax number (ITN). You will not be sharing this with attendees, but you will need this information handy.
Technical Details:
The online session will make use of Zoom. To participate, you will need:
· A computer with an up-to-date browser (note, if you are having trouble with Mozilla Firefox, for example, try opening with Internet Explorer).
· A browser that is Java and JavaScript enabled with Java Runtime Environment installed
· A stable and reasonably fast internet connection (cable connections preferred over wireless)
· Please join a couple minutes early so we can begin right at 1:00 PM.
