UBC Botanical Garden Lunar New Year Market

UBC Botanical Garden is hosting its first Lunar New Year event in 2023 to welcome the year of the rabbit! Local makers, artists, and crafters will be selling their goods. The festive event will also feature lion dances, kung fu performances from UBC Kung Fu Club, and dance performances from UBC Hanfu Culture Society and YunTang Dance Club. UBC Botanical Garden’s Shop in the Garden will also offer fresh flowers and potted plants.

Tickets also include admission to the Asian Garden (weather dependent).

Location: UBC Botanical Garden, Reception Centre, 6804 SW Marine Drive

Cost: $5

Important Notes: Please be advised that vendors are private businesses and some vendors will accept cash only or card only. We suggest being prepared for both payment methods. There is no bank machine located on-site.

Cancellation Policies: UBC Botanical Garden’s Lunar New Year Market is a not-for-profit event. We do not have the capacity to change tickets for a different day or refund tickets. If the market is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, ticket holders will receive a gift card for the value of their tickets that can be redeemed for UBC Botanical Garden and Nitobe Memorial Garden admission and in The Shop in the Garden.
