The City of Vancouver’s Engineering Services department is one of the largest and most innovative municipal engineering departments in the world. With close to 2000 employees contributing their expertise to exciting projects like the Arbutus Greenway, the rehabilitation of the Burrard Street Bridge, Mobi bike share, and more, Engineering Services is relied upon daily to provide critical city services and maintain over $15 Billion of city infrastructure.
Engineering teams design improvements to transportation networks, enhance safety for pedestrians and cyclists, improve public space, coordinate film and special event permits, manage street parking, maintain water and sewer networks, improve water resource efficiency, reduce and recover solid waste, and manage public realm cleanliness. It’s rare for a single organization to cover such a diverse portfolio of projects!
