The UBC Career Centre is excited to bring you a virtual mentorship and networking opportunity to connect with UBC alum, Emma D’Alessandro. This event is open to all students and alumni.

Empowering your Career Journey through Networks
Emma graduated from UBC in 2019 from Applied Science with a degree in Materials Engineering as an international student. She is currently a Materials and Sustainability engineer at The Boeing Company and works on new sustainable materials and technologies.
While at UBC, Emma participated in the Co-op program and had three internships. Since graduating from UBC, Emma has also obtained her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Throughout her career, she has understood the importance of creating strong personal connections and networks that can help you reach your goals. She is passionate about diversity and inclusion, mentoring, and networking.
Emma is currently on the board of Boeing Puget Sound’s Asian and Pacific organization, an active member of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and a member of the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE). She is grateful for the opportunities that UBC provided for her career and looks to give back to the UBC community through the UBC Engineering Mentoring Program and alumni connections.
She now lives near Seattle, USA and enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and enjoying the outdoors. During this event, she plans to share her career journey and learnings along the way and offer guidance on the importance of building your career network.
