Positive Coping Strategies Workshop

August 16, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

We all have go-to habits that we turn to in times of high stress or challenge, but are these habits working for you or against you? Our mental health can greatly be supported and maintained with the help of positive coping strategies, however it can be tough to identify the right ones, and to stick with them. In this session, participants have the opportunity to learn about concepts like resilience and coping while testing out coping practices that have been shown to support mental health and wellbeing.

Participants will:

Learn the concepts of mental health, resilience and coping
Have an opportunity to explore a variety of positive coping strategies through skill development and practice
Learn to apply coping/self-care to improve overall mental health and wellbeing
Create a personal goal to establish or re-establish healthy habits in their every day life

Dates:
Part 1 – Tues, Aug 16, 2022
Part 2 – Tues, Aug 23, 2022

Please attend both sessions.

She is a life long learner who is constantly re-thinking what it means to learn and educate through an anti-colonial and anti-racist lens. Erica has a vast amount of facilitation experience both in Canada and abroad and is fueled by the opportunity to learn from the stories and experiences of others. In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga and spending time in nature. She loves nothing more than getting lost in a good book or sharing a good meal with friends and family.
