Indoor Percussion Event at UBC

The indoor percussion event is a fun educational event that teaches students at UBC about indoor marching band as well as competing organizations such as WGI and DCI. Due to the little popularity of the sport, anyone that comes to the event will receive a free to participate drum lesson where students get to learn and play cool beats on drum pads. The purpose of this event is to not only educate students on a wide variety of music, but also build rhythmic skills in a group with students who have not had the chance to do so by themselves. We are also recruiting members to start an Indoor Percussion group at UBC that will compete in the Canadian Drumline Association’s provincial competition next year.
