Harm is Not Historical – National Indigenous History Month

UBC Applied Science’s EDI.I Office presents “Harm is Not Historical”, a thought provoking virtual panel on Indigenous resilience and strength in health care, the environment, and self determination. This panel features three Indigenous members of the UBC community:

Professor Colleen Varcoe, UBC School of Nursing – a leader in research on violence and inequity, with emphasis on women’s and Indigenous people’s health.

Elder Allen Edzerza, Tahltan Nation – a lead negotiator for the B.C. First Nation Energy and Mining Council in discussions with the government of British Columbia on mining reform.

Joely Viveiros, UBC First Nations House of Learning – Associate Director of FNHL which provides programming, advice, and support systems for UBC indigenous students, faculty, staff and alumni.
