Digital Landscapes for Indigenous Learning – September 15, 2022
September 15 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 amFree
The Sturgeon Harpoon Knowledge Web exhibit grew out of an extended collaboration between Musqueam and the Beaty Biodiversity Museum. The exhibit centers on Knowledge Keeper Morgan Guerin’s making of a sturgeon harpoon, and Musqueam Archivist Jason Woolman’s Knowledge Web linking all the organisms, tools, and technologies that go into the making of the harpoon and the sturgeon hunt.
Join Derek Tan, Digital Producer at the Beaty Biodiversity Museum, for an introduction to this exhibit and a discussion on building space for Indigenous Knowledge in an academic science environment.
