Considerations for Evaluation of Indigenous-focused Projects
January 21, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Evaluation is a key process of any project as it seeks to ensure that the goals of a project are met. In this workshop, participants will be introduced to project evaluation in relation to projects with an Indigenous focus or those that seek to engage Indigenous partners and communities. Participants will be introduced to the contentious history of evaluation and learn about approaches that seek to generate not only useful data, but also foster respectful relationships with communities and project partners.
This workshop will also help participants refine their project focus and consider a wide range of methods and approaches that may fit their unique project questions and aims. This workshop will be helpful to anyone applying for the Indigenous Strategic Initiative (ISI) Fund, but is open to anyone interested in the topic of evaluation in relation to Indigenous topics and engagement.
