3MT (Three Minute Thesis) – Final event
March 30 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pmFree
The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is an academic competition for current graduate students that helps them develop effective presentation and communication skills. Participants have just three minutes to explain the breadth and significance of their research project to a non-specialist audience.
UBC was one of the first universities in North America to host a 3MT competition in 2011. Every year heats are held across campus beginning in February, with winners moving on to the UBC-wide Semi-Finals and Finals in March. Come learn about the fascinating research graduate students are doing at UBC and find out who has won this year’s UBC-wide event!
The final event includes pre-recorded presentations from participants. Register to join the audience.
