Creating supportive and restorative departmental processes for complaints, conflicts and concerns from equity-deserving groups

February 23, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Overview

Join the first JEDII STEM Series session of 2023 to explore practices and strategies that leaders and units can take to promote inclusion, learning and belonging when responding to complaints, conflicts and concerns from equity-deserving groups.

Connect with guests from the Office of the Ombudsperson for Students, Equity & Inclusion Office, Investigations Office, and the Office of Respectful Environments, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion to explore their experiences with disclosure and the supports that their offices can provide. This is an opportunity to learn from the experiences of other faculty and staff in academic units who have leaned into these challenging situations to create change within themselves and others.

*The JEDII STEM Series offers regular, informal educational sessions on topics ranging from considering JEDII within your research program to setting up inclusive search processes for faculty and staff. Learn more about the series.
