Presenting Evidence of Teaching Effectiveness in a Dossier

Are you submitting your teaching dossier for tenure, promotion or reappointment this fall? If so, join us at this session where we’ll focus on crafting a compelling case for your teaching effectiveness. We’ll look at examples from different disciplines, and discuss strategies for presenting student feedback, peer reviews, and other forms of evidence. You will leave with practical ideas for framing a persuasive account of your teaching impact and momentum to develop your own dossier.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Explain the purpose of the evidence of teaching effectiveness section within a teaching dossier.
- Identify a range of possible evidence sources, including formal student evaluations, informal feedback, peer reviews, and self-reflection.
- Analyze dossier examples to explore different ways of presenting evidence.
- Consider how to frame evidence into a clear, persuasive narrative about teaching effectiveness.
- Identify next steps for developing or refining your own evidence of teaching effectiveness section.
