Land and Food Systems (LFS) Learning Centre Speaker Series: Transitioning to the Lifelong Learning Information System (LLIS)

Join the Faculty of Land and Food Systems (LFS) Learning Centre on Thursday, December 12th from 2-3pm for an informative session featuring Larry Bouthillier, Executive Director of UBC Extended Learning. We’ll share how the Faculty of Land and Food Systems (LFS) partnered with UBC Extended Learning to migrate our non-credit microcredential programs from Canvas Catalog to the Lifelong Learning Information System (also known as the LLIS and Destiny One). Learn how this new system addresses technical issues with enrolment, handles tax forms, and consolidates our courses to one Canvas environment. We’ll also discuss how the LLIS provides greater flexibility for future needs with options for more complex course and program management than Canvas Catalog. This session is perfect for UBC staff and faculty looking to start their own microcredential programs or considering a similar transition.
