UBC Pre-Med Diversity Symposium

The UBC Pre-Med Diversity Symposium is designed to encourage people from all walks of life to apply to medical school. This event is tailored to potential applicants who may face additional barriers to applying for medical school for reasons that may include, but are not limited to, having a non-science background, applying later in life, being a parent or caregiver, financial or personal hardship, or belonging to a demographic underrepresented in medicine (Indigenous, rural, living with a disability or chronic illness, LGBTQ2S+, etc.).This event will provide an overview of the application process, the available support throughout the process, the student perspective, and an opportunity to ask all your questions regarding UBC medical school and the application process.
