UBC Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies is hosting a workshop specifically for faculty and staff members on Supporting International Graduate Students (not intended for graduate students).
This session will focus on strategies and best practices to support international students, taking into consideration their expectations, their programs and career prospects, as well as the unique cultural and logistical challenges they face. We’ll also look at the practicalities, for example, study permits and letters of completion and provide an overview of how International Student Development (ISD) and G+PS support graduate students, faculty and staff.
