Multilingual Horror Film Festival: Vampyr (1932)

October 27 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$26

Celebrate multilingualism this Halloween season at UBC’s inaugural Multilingual Horror Film Festival! Join us at VIFF Centre (1181 Seymour St.) for one of this year’s featured screenings, Vampyr (1932). This atmospheric horror film follows a young man who becomes entangled in a village’s eerie struggle against supernatural forces, blending dreamlike visuals with a haunting exploration of vampirism. This event will be facilitated by Associate Professor Kyle Frackman from the Department of Central, Eastern, and Northern European Studies. Additionally, this screening will be accompanied by a world premiere of a new Vampyr score performed live by experimental sound art duo Magazinist.
