UBC aluma Ritika Saraswat is hosting a LinkedIn and Personal Branding workshop in collaboration with the UBC Career Centre. Ritika is a speaker, creator, writer, founder, and a Human Capital consultant at Deloitte. She is involved in the space of empowering international students through her organization called Re-Defined and has been able to empower over 10,000 students within Canada via events, workshops and community channels. Ritika has also leveraged her LinkedIn account, gaining over 5 million+ impressions and amassing over 30 thousand members.
Additionally, Re-Defined have uplifted youth from underprivileged communities across 4 countries and 20 regions by providing them with access to education (in the form of workshops, seminars, online zoom events, mentorship programs etc) and necessary resources. Re-Defined also serve to create awareness of sensitive issues and educate the youth on topics not commonly addressed in schools like sexual and menstrual health, entrepreneurship, building leadership and Networking skills, Financial Literacy, Climate and Sustainability and more.
For this work, Ritika has been awarded the “Iconic Women Award for creating a change in the world” by the Women Economic Forum, the Indian Achievers Award by IAF. Ritika was also selected as one of the Top 3 professionals in Canada to be an ambassador and speaker at the One Young World Conference, 2023 (Ireland), and is a 2X TEDX speaker.
