Audience:  family physicians, hospitalists, palliative care specialists, mental health professionals, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, residents and students.
Overview: This year, we’ll focus on palliative care of the mind and alleviation of psychological suffering through the use of cutting-edge therapy and treatments. From Dexmedetomidine use to psychotherapy communication techniques, we hope to redefine how we support the human experience of patients needing palliative support. We’ll also explore the care of patients with advanced dementia, complex delirium and concurrent use disorder from a palliative lens.
