UBC CPD Not Just a Prescription Pad: A Multimodal Approach to Chronic Non-Cancer Pain Management

You’re invited to participate in a free accredited webinar to learn more about engaging with patients with complex non-cancer pain, and identifying appropriate evidence-based treatments through integrating non-pharmacological and pharmacological treatments.

Speakers will discuss the current best practices in the treatment of chronic non-cancer pain. The session will contain practical take-home applications and strategies that you can begin implementing in your practice.

This two-part virtual event will take place over the following dates and cover the following topics:

Part 1: Monday, June 6, 1830–2015 PDT — Overview of pain, non-pharmacological approaches, alternatives to opioids, and a simple case study
Part 2: Monday, June 13, 1830–2000 PDT — Integrating pharmacological and non-pharmacological solutions, tapering, and a complex case study

Target audience: family physicians, specialists, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, physiotherapists, occupation therapists, residents, students and other allied health care providers with Island Health. (Please note: this event is intended for Island Health practitioners only.)
