Data Privacy Week

Data Privacy Week is a global initiative focused on raising awareness about protecting personal information—and at UBC, that’s something that affects all of us. Whether you work with student records, research data, HR information, or just email and chat tools, privacy is part of your everyday work.
Join us for a three-day learning series designed to strengthen our community’s understanding of privacy, transparency, and responsible technology use at UBC. Sessions will explore what’s new in UBC’s evolving privacy landscape, gain clarity on navigating Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, and unpack how emerging technologies—especially AI—are reshaping long-standing privacy challenges. This week offers valuable insights to help every member of the UBC community protect information and foster a culture of trust. Register for one or all sessions and build your privacy awareness for 2026 and beyond.
