Marinate Me: 2014 BFA BA Visual Art Graduating Exhibition
The Department of Art History, Visual Art and Theory at UBC presents “Marinate Me,” this year’s BFA/BA Visual Art Graduating Exhibition at the Audain Art Centre. Graduating students will be serving up their work to a public audience.
New UBC Bookstore Lauch Party March 28-March 29th
Vancouver’s UBC Bookstore celebrates its new space with FREE breakfast and coffee from 10-11:30am, and performances by UBC Bhangra, UBC A Capella, UBC Music Initiative, The School of Music, and CITR DJs.
Open House: Celebrating UBC’s 12th President
Wish Professor Stephen Toope and Ms. Paula Rosen well as they conclude eight years of service to the university. Come out to enjoy a snack, mingle with the President and sign the guestbook. Open to the UBC community – no RSVP required.

Theatre at UBC Presents: Ubu Roi
This hilarious 1896 satire about greed and abuse of power was outlawed for its scandalous language and disrespect for authority. Play runs March 20th to April 5th at Freddy Wood Theatre. Tickets $10 for students and 2 for 1 for all faculty, staff and UNA residents ($11)
Intercultural U: Racism and Reconciliation
Intercultural U is an exciting event involving group discussions on topics related to intercultural understanding. Group discussions will be led by academics and community organizers. The event includes a theatre presentation by Changing the Lens at UBC that explores challenging classroom dynamics of privilege, power and exclusion.
UBU ROI Unleashes A Hilarious Reign of Comic Terror at UBC!
Ubu Roi, Alfred Jarry’s 1896 avant-garde play about greed and the abuse of power, was outlawed for its scandalous language, violence and disrespect for authority. It’s a hilarious play unlike anything you’ve seen.
Women and War in Afghanistan
Author and historian Ann Jones discusses the shifting role of women and women’s rights in the war in Afghanistan and what that tells us about the mistaken prosecution of the war and prospects for the future.
International Day of Forests
