Ready, set, roll! For this year’s Pride season, we’re going to kick up our wheeled heels and get the rainbow out to the roller-skating rink at the PNE. Everyone’s invited to take pride in 2SLGBTQIA+ communities while connecting with your local UBC network.

Pride in PoCo
Pride in PoCo is organized with the involvement of Port Coquitlam’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Roundtable and local youth. The event will include a city info booth and a number of live performances. Poco’s City Hall will also be lit up in rainbow colours on July 23 to recognize LGBT2SQ+ communities.

Vancouver Pride Festival
Vancouver Pride Society strives to produce inclusive, celebratory events, and advocate for 2SLGBTQAI+ communities through an intersectional lens.
August 13, 2022
New West Pride Street Festival
From August 5 to 14, New West will come alive with rainbows and activities for everyone to enjoy. Pride Week will wrap up with the Pride Street Party, where Columbia Street will be closed to traffic, and instead will play home to three stages full of live entertainment, a children’s area, vendors and food trucks, and multiple beer gardens.
August 21, 2022
Delta Pride Picnic
The fourth annual Delta Pride Picnic is slated to be happening on Sunday, August 21 at Ladner Memorial Park. Expect drag performances, live entertainment, food trucks and more during this inclusive celebration.

Positive Space campaign is a university-wide initiative intended to raise awareness and visibility of lesbian, gay, bisexual, two-spirit, trans and queer students, staff, faculty, alumni and allies at UBC.

Gender Diversity at UBC
At UBC, we are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming campus environment for all our sexual and gender diverse students, faculty, staff and community members. Learn about different aspects of gender diversity or find information about UBC’s systems.

SOGI UBC
SOGI UBC seeks to nurture an inclusive culture, workplace and learning environment for faculty, staff and students in the Faculty of Education and across other faculties and institutions that seek to develop inclusive climates and practices.
Student Groups
Colour Connected Against Racism
Colour Connected Against Racism is an AMS resource group that works to end racism, and all forms of oppression, discrimination and prejudice.
Gears and Queers
Gears and Queers is a club comprised of LGBTQ2SIA+ engineers and allies. They are dedicated to creating an open, accepting space for queer engineering students at UBC.
UBC Okanagan EngiQueers
A UBC Students’ Union Okanagan club that provides a safe space for LGBTQ2SIA+ students, specifically focused on engineering students and allies.
UBC Pride Collective
The Pride Collective is an AMS resource group that offers educational and social services dealing with sexual and gender diversity to the UBC community.
UBC Students Against Bigotry
UBC Students Against Bigotry seeks to promote freedom of expression and empower those whose safety or dignity are threatened.
UBCSUO Pride Resource Centre
The student-run Pride Resource Centre works to create a social atmosphere within UBC Okanagan to foster discussion and awareness on campus of sexual and gender diversity.
