UBC Reads Sustainability with Kate Marvel | Human Nature

A public lecture using nine emotions to explore the science and stories behind climate change.

Live on stage for her first reading and public talk in Canada, Kate Marvel offers to take us on a soaring journey – one filled with mythology, physics, witchcraft, bad movies, volcanoes, Roman emperors, sequoia groves, and the many small miracles of nature we usually take for granted.

Kate Marvel is a climate scientist and author based in Brooklyn, New York. Kate previously worked at Project Drawdown, the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies, Columbia University, Stanford University, the Carnegie Institution, and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
