UBC CPD: Supporting Youth Who Use Substances: Skills, Tools and Case Based Learning (Kamloops)

UBC CPD is pleased to offer Mainpro+ Certified Assessment credits for this program, aligned with the new CFPC requirements. Through reflective exercises and guided analysis of your own clinical data, you will engage in meaningful quality improvement activities that not only meet new standards but also strengthen your practice and patient outcomes. You will be provided resources and support contacts to make the process simple and rewarding.

This in-person workshop will explore the current landscape of substance use among youth in BC, including the social and environmental factors that shape it. Participants will learn practical approaches for building trust, offering effective care, and connecting youth and their families with the right supports. Through case examples and collaborative discussion, attendees will strengthen their skills and confidence in responding to substance use and related challenges in this population.
