UBC CPD: Rural Rounds: Rural Substance Use Care and Innovation
April 15 @ 7:45 am - 9:00 am
Free
Substance use care is a complex and continually evolving area of medicine. In rural BC, patient‑centred and evidence‑informed approaches are essential to improving outcomes and supporting individuals in their communities.
This Rural Rounds session will equip participants with practical skills and knowledge to provide patient-centered substance use care in rural settings. Learners will explore innovations in substance use care including the use of motivational interviewing techniques, a range of psychosocial treatment modalities, and effective conversations around prescribed safer alternatives to unregulated substances.
