Join us in person on March 7, 2026 at UBC Robson Square in Vancouver, BC for the Implants and IUDs: Comparing and Inserting Long Acting Reversible Contraceptives (LARC) workshops.  Explore the current contraceptive landscape, the unmet needs in contraception, and gain insights into the benefits and risks of various contraceptive options in Canada.

Participants will be able to:

  • Describe the contraceptive landscape and unmet needs for contraception in Canada
  • Compare the benefits and risks of the etonogestrel subdermal implant and intrauterine contraception

Workshop A: Implants 

  • Gain expertise in inserting, localizing, and removing the etonogestrel subdermal implants

Workshop B: IUDs

  • Gain expertise in inserting IUDs and troubleshooting difficult insertion
