Tea and Learn: Meaningful Reconciliation

Join us for a special interactive Tea and Learn session with Dana-Lyn Mackenzie, UBC’s EDI Scholar-in-Residence. In this engaging session, Dana-Lyn will guide us through the implementation of UBC’s Indigenous Strategic Plan (ISP)—the first of its kind at a Canadian university—at a faculty level. Together, we’ll explore how the ISP can shape institutional transformation and advance Indigenous human rights across campus. This is not just a presentation—it’s a conversation.
Dana-Lyn will unpack some of her experiences with the ISP’s framework and its eight guiding goals, while inviting your questions, reflections, and ideas throughout. You’ll also be part of a discussion on the meaning and future of reconciliation. Whether you’re just beginning your learning journey or looking to deepen your understanding, bring your curiosity, questions, and an open mind. Let’s learn together and explore how we can each contribute to the ISP’s vision through our work and roles.
