Join us for our Summer Pop-Up Concerts at UBC Robson Square! We’re bringing our most talented students to perform for you right in the heart of downtown on select Thursdays this July and August. Bring a friend, grab some lunch, and drop by our Plaza Lounge to enjoy an hour of classic tunes brought to you by the UBC School of Music.
Performers
Fergus Kwan
Hamm, he has also studied with Dr. Henri-Paul Sicsic in the past. Fergus has won awards in many competitions, including the Canadian Music Competition, Pacific International Youth Festival, and Vancouver Kiwanis Music Festival. Fergus has also received an award from The Vancouver Chopin Society for the best performance of a work by Chopin. Fergus has also participated in masterclasses hosted by Jon Kimura Parker and Nelson Goerner. Aside from being a concert pianist, Fergus is also very passionate as a collaborative pianist. He is currently a part of the Richmond Presbyterian Church as a choir pianist, led by Dr. Jannie Burdeti.

An end-of-year townhall for Africans in the diaspora to come together to network, connect, and discuss how to give back to the development of the continent.

Cinema Thinks the World: Mariupolis (2016)
A free screening and discussion of Mariupolis, a documentary made in 2016 by Lithuanian filmmaker Mantas Kvedaravicius about the contested Ukrainian city of Mariupol.
