In this Indigenous Speakers Series session, we will have a conversation with James Andrew, Aisha Sallad, Meghan MacGillivray, Nadine Duke, Shannon Field, Ainsley Light and Rachel De Cicco. They will reflect on the 25-year journey of the Indigenous Doctor of Medicine (MD) pathway, as well as recruiting and supporting Indigenous students to the Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. They will explore the impact of these pathways on Indigenous health education, and the generations of Indigenous physicians and health professionals who have helped shape medicine and care.
This event is led by Derek K Thompson – Čaabať Bookwilla | Suhiltun, Director of Indigenous Engagement at the Faculty of Medicine, and is organized by the Faculty of Medicine’s Office of Respectful Environments, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (REDI).
