Presenting Evidence of Teaching Effectiveness in a Dossier

November 18 @ 9:30 am - 10:45 am

Series:

How can you demonstrate your teaching effectiveness in a dossier? In this session, we’ll explore the purpose of the ‘evidence of teaching effectiveness’ section, look at examples from different disciplines, and discuss strategies for presenting student feedback, peer reviews, and other forms of evidence. You’ll leave with practical ideas for framing a persuasive account of your teaching impact.

By the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Explain the purpose of the evidence of teaching effectiveness section within a teaching dossier.
  • Identify a range of possible evidence sources, including formal student evaluations, informal feedback, peer reviews, and self-reflection.
  • Analyze dossier examples to explore different ways of presenting evidence.
  • Consider how to frame evidence into a clear, persuasive narrative about teaching effectiveness.
  • Identify next steps for developing or refining your own evidence of teaching effectiveness section.

Please note that this session lays the groundwork for a follow-up workshop where you’ll begin drafting or revising the evidence of teaching effectiveness section of your dossier.
