Pizza & Proposals with the Indigenous Strategic Initiatives Fund

The Indigenous Strategic Initiatives (“ISI”) Fund has announced its fifth funding cycle with a Call for Applications running from October 13, 2026, to January 14, 2027.   

The ISI Fund supports innovative and transformative projects led by UBC staff, faculty, and students across both campuses, that advance UBC’s Indigenous Strategic Plan and UBCO’s Declaration to Truth and Reconciliation Commitments.  

UBC students are invited to join the Office of Indigenous Strategic Initiatives (“OISI”) for “Pizza and Proposals with the ISI Fund.” This interactive information session will provide an overview of the Fund, including eligibility requirements, application timelines, and key considerations for a successful submission.  

The event will also feature a presentation from a student project holder, who will share the story behind their project, the inspiration that led to its development, and lessons learned throughout the process.  

Students will have the opportunity to ask questions, connect with program staff and peers, and leave with a clearer understanding of how to develop a competitive application. 

Refreshments (Pizza, snacks, coffee and tea) will be provided
