An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Thursday, repeating until March 3, 2022
Go behind the news headlines for an in-depth analysis of today’s most important topics and issues. Gain up-to-date perspectives, viewpoints and ideas on a wide range of current Canadian and global affairs with UBC experts who help make sense of major events, politics, health and science news, and more.
For Winter 2022: We are offering two separate sessions of this course: January 27-March 3 OR March 10 to April 14. Due to popularity, the topics and lecturers are repeated in each session. The listing of topics for Winter 2022 will be available in the third week of November.
If you haven’t already done so, you can stay informed of updates by subscribing to our email list. We’ll be letting subscribers know the details of this popular, long-running course when they’re available.
Every week you participate in a live online class with your instructor. You’ll watch their presentation, and you can ask questions at designated times during the lecture.
We record every lecture in case you miss one.
