New Faculty Workshop: Supporting Excellent Supervisory Relationships

This interactive session from UBC Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies is designed to equip new faculty with the foundational tools and strategies needed to establish strong, productive supervisory relationships with graduate students. We will introduce a practical framework that supports open communication, mutual expectations, and academic success. Participants will explore real-world scenarios, identify potential challenges early in the supervision process, and learn how to foster inclusive, supportive, and goal-oriented mentorship.

While tailored to research-stream faculty beginning their supervisory roles, the session is open to all faculty and postdoctoral scholars interested in enhancing their supervisory practice.
