Navigating Peer Review: A Strategic Guide for Responding to Journal Reviewers

December 2 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Receiving a major-revision decision from a journal can be intimidating, yet it often represents an opportunity rather than a setback. This workshop equips graduate students and early-career researchers across disciplines with practical strategies for responding to reviewer feedback. Through real examples of reviewer comments and author responses, participants will learn how to distinguish among different types of feedback, communicate disagreements professionally, and construct persuasive responses to reviewers. By responding strategically, authors can approach peer review as a collaborative opportunity to strengthen their manuscripts rather than as a barrier to publication

Facilitator: Dr. Alois Sieben and Chinekwu Nwagwu, Centre for Writing and Scholarly Communication

Location: IKBLC, Level 3, Dodson Room and on Zoom. Registrants receive the Zoom link 1 day prior to the workshop.
