Mr. Burns, a post-electric social

November 25 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Join UBC Theatre & Film for Mr. Burns, a Post-Electric Social, a night of triviacostumes, and classic Simpsons fun inspired by Anne Washburn’s darkly hilarious Mr. Burns, a post-electric play.

The evening kicks off with a talk by Dr. Christine Evans, who’ll explore The Simpsons’ enduring cultural legacy and its surprising role as a cultural lifeboat after the fall of civilization. Her talk will feature clips from the unforgettable episode “Cape Feare”, the very one that survivors in Mr. Burns struggle to reconstruct by firelight.

Think you know your monorail lyrics, your Sideshow Bob catchphrases, or which episode gave us the immortal “You don’t win friends with salad”? Prove it in our Simpsons-themed trivia showdown or come dressed as your favourite Springfieldian for a chance to win prizes!

Free to attend and open to all with RSVP! (Costumes are optional).
