Love Is Blind: The Pods. The Proposal. The Patriarchy. Screening 2
January 30 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Free
Reality TV is full of drama but what messages does it send about relationships, gender, and power? Join SVPRO during Sexual Assault Awareness Month, for an interactive Love Is Blind screening and discussion that blends fun, food, and thoughtful conversation. Together, we’ll watch an episode of Love Is Blind and unpack the relationship dynamics, gender roles, and assumptions about consent that show up on screen.
This in-person event at the SVPRO office includes lunch, snacks, and beverages, plus a BINGO-style activity featuring Love Is Blind and gender tropes (with prizes for winners). After the screening, facilitators will guide a relaxed, engaging discussion connecting what we watched to real-world conversations about consent, media influence, and gender-based violence. Whether you’re a casual viewer or a critical media fan, this event offers a welcoming space to connect, reflect, and learn with others.
Screening 2 will be on January 30th from 12pm to 2pm. Space is limited and RSVP is required by January 28th: RSVP HERE
