LangSci Cross-Faculty Poster Showcase & Anniversary Celebration

Join UBC Language Sciences and presenters across faculties of Arts, Science, Education, Medicine, and Applied Science, on Thursday, September 25, 12:00 – 2:00 pm for an interdisciplinary research showcase.

LangSci has lined up an exciting and diverse range of our seed-funded and member-led research projects, including decoding speech from brain signals, high-risk cancer detection with LLMs, a gender diversity & voice project, afrocentric AI, child language brokering, and many more.

This is a casual event featuring a poster showcase and networking luncheon. Attendees can explore research at their own pace, connect with presenters, and engage with topics outside their usual fields of study. Whether you’re a seasoned researcher, a student, or simple curious, there is something here for everyone. We’d love to see you there – but please make sure to RSVP ASAP.
