Indigenous Graduate Student Summer Writing Circle Series
May 29 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join us for the Indigenous Summer Graduate Writing Circle series, an online space created for Indigenous graduate students to write in community.
4 sessions:
- Friday, May 29, 9 AM – 12 PM PDT
- Thursday, June 25, 1– 4 PM PDT
- Friday, July 24, 9 AM – 12 PM PDT
- Thursday, August 27, 1– 4 PM PDT
Whether you’re working on a thesis, course paper, dissertation, or creative project, you’re welcome to come as you are and write at your own pace.
Alongside dedicated writing time, these circles offer opportunities to connect with other Indigenous graduate students, share resources and strategies, and be part of a supportive, community-centered space grounded in care and mutual support.
Registration is open to all current UBC-V Indigenous graduate students, including First Nations, Métis, Inuit, and Indigenous students from outside of Canada (e.g., the United States, South America, Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, and beyond).
You should receive an automatic response once you’ve registered. If you experience any difficulty with registering or don’t receive the automatic response, please e-mail us at graduate.indigenous@ubc.ca with your full name, your program, department and/or your UBC affiliation.
