Employer On-Campus: Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Progamme

Ready for a life-changing adventure? Whether you’re passionate about teaching, travel, or international relations, the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme gives you the chance to grow personally and professionally. Gain valuable overseas experience, immerse yourself in the culture, and make friends from around the world—all while making an impact in a local community.
As a JET participant, you’ll spend at least one year in Japan as either:
- An Assistant Language Teacher (ALT): Bring English language learning and culture to life in the classroom while working alongside Japanese teachers.
- A Coordinator for International Relations (CIR): Use your Japanese skills in local government offices to promote cultural exchange and international understanding.
The JET Programme is run by the Government of Japan and offers a unique way to jump-start your global career. This isn’t just a job—it’s a story worth telling.
Applications open September–November 2025.
Eligible applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree by July 2026. Departures in summer 2026.
