Employer On-Campus Info Session: Taseko Gibraltar

Taseko Gibraltar is looking for high-potential students and graduates who are ready to be successful in the Mining field.

Join us on Wednesday, March 16 in Room 2214 of the UBC LIFE Building from 5:30pm to 6:30pm for an information session from Taseko Gibraltar. Learn about co-op and career opportunities for Engineering students. Taseko Gibraltar representatives will provide insight on what it’s like to work as an engineer at their company and be available for questions and networking afterwards.

About the Company:
Taseko Mines is a dynamic and growing mining company focused on the operation and development of mines in North America. Taseko owns (75%) and operates the state-of-the-art Gibraltar Mine in central British Columbia. Gibraltar is the second largest open pit copper mine in Canada and has a 700 person workforce. Gibraltar has a long mine life and produces an average of 140 million pounds of copper and 2.5 million pounds of molybdenum per year.

About The Engineer in Training Program:
Taseko Gibraltar’s Engineer in Training program endeavors to be an effective and well-structured program that leads our Engineers in Training through an experience based learning program, allowing them to advance in their career and develop into future leaders. The Engineer in Training program consists of planned job rotations, giving Engineers in Training exposure to various roles, providing valuable experience and opportunities for continuous learning and development.
