Join us for a joint info session with Dr. Newlands, a UBC alumnus working with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, and Parisa Pakzad, HR advisor from the Public Service Commission of Canada. Dr. Newlands will discuss his career in federal agricultural research and share insights on science roles in government. While Parisa will introduce key student hiring programs and pathways into federal work. Attendees will learn how scientific skills are applied in public service and how to access internships and student opportunities. A Q&A will follow for career and application advice.
