From Serving Tables to Google: A 10-Year Career Lookback

Patricia Poon is a 2017 BCom graduate, majoring in Finance and Business Technology Management, based in Los Angeles, CA. Prior to her current role as a Customer Engineer at Google, she was a Technical Program Manager at Airbnb and a Digital Consulting Team Lead in Accenture’s Toronto office.

Since graduating, she has 6 years experience designing, building, and launching software products for banks, retailers, and governments. Pat is passionate about trust, safety, accessibility, and sustainability in software and technology platforms.

She is eager to answer your questions about financial aid while studying, extracurriculars in university, setting and achieving career goals, job searching, salary negotiation, being an Asian woman in tech, working in the US as a Canadian, and continued education.
