Lift Your Voice – Designing a Personal Narrative w/ Rob Kim
Session:
Now what is a personal narrative you might ask? A personal narrative represents your skills and values in a manner that allows you to connect with others. It is built through reflection and an understanding of who you are and what you bring to the table. This type of story is one that can be learned and practiced. In this session, you will be offered tips to test out your story – one that authentically showcases your disability and fully celebrates who you are. Discover your voice to build trust in yourself and learn how your personal narrative applies in workplace and school settings.
Speaker Bio:
Rob Kim is a LinkedIn Top Voice for Job Search and Careers, where he has grown a community of over 14,000 followers. He currently works for alumni UBC as Associate Director, Lifelong Learning.
