Community Connection Series: No Money, No Connections, No Problem! Career Persistence While Making Ends Meet
May 5 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pmFree
As a student facing financial barriers, how can you balance university life, planning your career, and networking? How do lived experiences influence your financial wellbeing in post-secondary and beyond?
Lack of financial privilege can be the cause of many challenges in a student’s life, including making difficult choices regarding employment, managing time and stress, as well as planning a future career. Connect with a supportive community and have open, authentic, and sometimes difficult conversations about navigating life through a lens of financial wellbeing.
Our speakers will share their lived experiences, talk about their personal journeys and professional growth, along with the challenges they faced as university students in balancing work, life, finances, and their studies. Shape your strategies through inspiration from our panelists, and work to overcome financial barriers and find ways to thrive in your career.
This event will consist of two halves: a panel portion which will be recorded through Zoom, followed by more informal open Q&A.
