Climate and Nature Emergency in the Amazon

In this presentation, Chief Ninawa Huni Kui will present an overview of the challenges faced by his people as guardians of the Amazon rainforest and river-basin, and the implications of further destruction of the Amazon for the global climate crisis. Chief Ninawa will also present an outline of his existing research partnerships across faculties at UBC, including long-term collaborations with faculty and students in EDST.
