Celebrating IBPOC Voices in Youth Climate Action

March 30, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

What does it mean to celebrate diversity and incorporate cultural values and practices into climate action work? How can we better amplify the voices of Indigenous, Black and People of Colour (IBPOC) community members? If these are questions that spark your interest, our upcoming event is for you!

🎉Celebrating IBPOC Voices in Youth Climate Action 🎉 is a community conversation that aims to amplify and empower IBPOC youth leadership and contributions in climate action, in an effort to foster solidarity and spotlight opportunities for IBPOC youth engagement to promote climate justice.

By centering the voices of IBPOC youth, we hope to create space for sharing cultural values and practices on sustainability, and opportunities for youth to take local climate action. At the event, there will be an opening artistic performance by one of our panellists, Azul Duque; a brainstorming session 💡to share opportunities for IBPOC youth to connect with networks, resources and climate action projects; and a panel discussion with young IBPOC changemakers.

This event is open to everyone, but we hope that IBPOC youth participants will be inspired and empowered to connect with local climate projects.
